Kolkata-The city of Joy.

A cantilever bridge,

Standing over the river Ganges,

Without any support or ridge;

Known as the Howrah bridge!

 

Streets and roads,

Full of traffic jams;                              

Due to crowd of people,

public buses and trams.

 

Full of books density,

A road strip;

Near the Calcutta University,

Known as College street.

 

A place of beautiful cenotaphs,

and buildings of Raj era of the British;

It’s one of the notable Landmarks

Known as Park street!

 

It still carries,

The beauty of roads;

Because of the yellow taxis

on which they boards.

 

Of which metropolitan city,

I’m talking about?

It’s our beautiful Kolkata,

For which our love and heart shouts.

 

This is the place,

Where people live to enjoy;

My friend,

It’s Kolkata-The city of Joy!
